Finals:
My finals start on Tuesday. I start with accounting on Tuesday, Philosophy on Thursday, and Psychology on Saturday. I have worked hard in these three subjects all semester and received some notable mention from both the Psychology and Philosophy staff. All the work I put this semester is to be tested this week.
Do your worst Munir Lutfi (accounting lecturer), I'm ready this time.
BRING IT!!!

Observation on race-relations in Dubai:
I still think whatever group I hang out is the only multi-cultured group in all of UOWD. Ok I've been a student at Wollongong for two semesters and noted that despite what we've been through, most people tend to prefer to stick with people of their own nationality, ex:

Levants (Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, and Syria) hang out with each other mostly and occasionally interact with Gulfies (GCC nationals). I've noted that if I should ask a Levant his main nationality I follow with another question; "And?" as most tend to brag about whatever foreign country passport they have (Canada, UK, and Australia are the usual suspects). This doesn't apply to those who have parents of that foreign county. Furthermore, considering the Levant Exodus I'm really that surprised that they have foreign passports.

Gulfies prefer to hang out with each other. Period. Rarely do they talk to others and if they did; it would normally involve help with exams. I may be wrong but Gulfies are a minority in UOWD so...

DESI's hang out each other. This is the only group I've seen that actually shuns members who hang out with people from other countries. Often treating him/her as someone who thinks of himself/herself as "too cool" to hangout with fellow countrymen.

Soviets: Ok there might be some inner politics among this particular community; Russains to their group, the same to Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Ukrainians, etc. Yet they will actually speak to each other if a situation should arise. This contrasts with the DESI community as Pakistanis and Indians rarely (if ever) mix. Except maybe during the DESI Fever part which happens every semester. I shall not comment further.

Iranians. As far as I know all the Iranians in UOWD and the greater Knowledge Village community know each other. I do remember that before Nowrooz (Persian new year), the phrase "Salnumubarak" was heard everywhere. I think it would be appropriate to mention at this point that I love Iranian food and I think Iran makes the best kebabs in the world.

Whites (those of English-speaking countries; USA, UK, New Zealand, and Australia) hang out with each other. Rarely do they mix with the others as they have a hard time accepting (and understanding) the other cultures. I still think they should make Arabic-courses mandatory for all English-speakers. I learned their language and it's about time they learned mine. And no, that doesn't mean shisha...
As far as I know the only time these groups actually mingle is if they smoke. Since you can't smoke indoors you all smoke outdoors and I guess that gets people talking to each other (who ever said smoking was bad? XD). While I do understand that sometimes, no one can understand you better than your countryman that doesn't mean that you should avoid people from other countries. I'm sorry but if we're going to pride ourselves that we live in a multi-cultural society we should actually interact with those other cultures.

Youtube:
Wtf is up with Youtube removing half the videos? I can't find a working video anymore because apparently Youtube keeps removing them. In any case, should you guys ever check out Youtube, type the following on the searchbar:
Britain's Got Talent - Michael Jackson
The clip is part of the popular "Britain's Got Talent" show and it's pretty funny. Enjoy

Facebook:
Ok so I'm back on Facebook...
Didn't take long for me to reactivate my account after all... MEH!!!

Featured deviant:

I'm in love with futuristic and surreal cityscapes. Theo's gallery is one of those galleries that impress you with not just his lively imagination, but by the apparent effort he puts into his deviations. Head on to his gallery and enjoy

On an odd note, I find the Daily Deviations gallery on the main page to be the best place to find fresh new talent on dA. You guys should really head over there and check it out
